When the pandemic hit and we started to see both teachers and students struggle to stay engaged in education, we knew we had to do something to help. We created VirtuEd, a fully integrated tutoring platform that empowers certified teachers to make extra money, make life easier and make a real difference in students’ lives.
Our all-in-one platform allows certified teachers to invite students to schedule a tutoring session, pay for that session and connect via video conference. This way, certified teachers who tutor, or want to tutor, can now be empowered to build their own tutoring businesses and do what they love on their own terms.
As VirtuEd grows and our community expands, we look forward to taking our support for teachers who tutor to the next step. On top of helping teachers make extra money and make a difference in students’ lives, VirtuEd is also here to help teachers make connections. Whether they attend a teacher panel hosted by VirtuEd or share resources and best practices amongst VirtuEd tutors, our teachers get to know, support and learn from those who truly understand all that they do.
Beyond supporting teachers, we want to be there for students too. We know extra academic support can make a big difference in students’ lives, but sometimes, those who need it most can’t get it. That’s where our Teach It Forward program comes in. For every 10 sessions you teach, VirtuEd will cover the cost of one free session to a student of your choice. That means, the more you tutor, the more you get paid and the more we can give back. By donating free tutoring sessions, a quality education becomes easily accessible for all students.
